This is one of those days... so I'm going to share a pretty simple cake and the details for it - then call it a day! Besides - this is one of the few 2013 cakes that I have left and wanted to share.
So - without rambling on and one - here's what I can tell you. I made this cake not long after making the Baby Gender Reveal Cake that also had tiny Converse shoes, so I was definitely getting more practice on those!
And it doesn't matter how many times I make these, I'm still all gushy over them. They're just SO cute!! If you want to make these, you'll just need to print out a template and have a few all-purpose tools on hand (gum paste, a pastry wheel, xacto blade, mat, sugar glue, stitching tool, and a ribbon cutter is helpful too).
The cake itself was baked in 8" round pans (I use Magic Line pans). I baked two layers and filled and frosted them with vanilla buttercream. It was vanilla cake and decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant for the polka dots and borders. I used simple round cutters to do the polka dots and a silicone pearl mold to make the border.
And that's it. Overall, this cake was pretty simple. I also made matching yellow frosted cupcakes to go with it but I seem to have forgotten to take pictures of those.

your Baby shoe cake is from 2013? You are running 1 year behind? Or do you just post 2013 ever once in awhile? Have a great week.

Hi Rose,
You talked about charging by servings. What is the approximate size to cut are the sevings? Are they 1x3, 2x4 or larger. Please advise.

Is that for all cakes. The special occasion cakes, birthday cake or wedding cakes. Is the serving size the same for all?
Thank you
