27 Delicious 4th of July Desserts

I am in disbelief that it's almost July.  I had the bones of this post, 27 Delicious 4th of July Desserts, put together many, many weeks ago thinking July 4th was ages away, and then I blinked and it's time to share!

I actually didn't even think about it until I started seeing tons of 4th of July round-ups on  Pinterest and I remembered... I have a post like this too!  Yikes!

Even though the date snuck up on me... summer has not.  Ohmyword, it's hot here in southern MS.  Today's heat index was 106°F.   The humidity was around 90%.  Ya'll.. that's brutal.  I walk out my front door and immediately cannot breath because the air is so thick and hot.  It's like being wrapped in a hot, damp blanket that you cannot escape from.

Which is not pleasant, if you're wondering.  At least not for me.  I do not love summer.  Like, not at all.  I hate being hot.  I hate sweating.  I hate shorts.  I hate swimming and beaches and well... almost all things "summer".

You notice I said "almost".  The one thing I like about summer?  The food, of course.  Fresh fruits and veggies.  Burgers and chicken off the grill.  Cool delicious desserts.
